Tom Strand takes first charge of Medeama against Ashantigold

Tom Strand will take charge of his first Medeama game when his new side take on Ashantigold in a Ghana Premier League fixture on Saturday.

The Swedish tactician has signed a two-year deal with the Mauve and Yellows and will begin his adventure with a home tie against the miners.

The Tarkwa-based side are winless after three games and will be seeking their first win of the season.

They managed a 2-2 stalemate against Hearts in their last encounter, which followed their 0-0 draw against All Stars at home.

The 33-year-old European, will hope to start life on a positive note with victory against an unbeaten Ashantigold side.

Referee Fred Andoh will take centre stage and will be assisted by Abraham Jackson and Kennedy Bentil.
