Togo captain Emmanuel Adebayor has backed Ghana to end their wait for a title at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco.

The Tottenham Hotspur star eulogized the Black Stars after the Hawks were beaten 3-2 in Lome in a Group E qualifier.

Ghana are now joint leaders with four points form the available six after drawing 1-1 with Uganda at home last Saturday.

Adebayor has no doubts the Black Stars will qualify and compete for the trophy next January.

“Ghana is a big team with so many quality players on the day they were superior to us,” Adabayor said in a post-match interview.

“On qualification I think they will qualify and have a great chance of winning the title.

“When you have such quality like they do you will always be considered amongst the favorites.”

Ghana have reached the semi-finals of the last four editions of the Africa Cup of Nations.
