First Capital Plus Bank have revealed plans to have match tickets for Premier League matches sold electronically.

The headline sponsors of the Ghanaian top flight will be rolling out several innovations towards improving patronage for matches in Ghana.

Amongst some of the innovations are reward packages for supporters who consistently throng Premier League match venues.

The wholly-Ghanaian owned bank will now be introducing an electronic ticket purchasing system which will enhance accountability of gate proceeds while helping gather vital data for statistical analysis.

“Very soon football gate proceeds will be electronically done instead of the cash-manual process,” Chief Executive Officer of First Capital Plus Bank said on the latest episode on GFA TV which will be airing on Saturday.

“The teams will be able to see what is going into their accounts; the GFA will be able to see what is going into their accounts.

“And you can do a lot of statistical analysis [from this process] and that is going to help us to move football to another height.”

The bank signed a five-year sponsorship agreement with the Ghana FA worth $10m.

The Premier League will benefit from an annual payment of $2m for the next five years per the sponsorship agreement.
