Those who chant ?all die be die? must lead the fight - Kwesi Pratt Jnr.

Posted On Wednesday, 25th April 2012

The Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr., has cautioned political leaders who are chanting ?all die be die? to be ready to lead the fight if they really think life is not worth living.

Kwesi Pratt Jnr. said those politicians can call their family members to join them in the fight instead of inciting party foot soldiers into an unnecessary fight that may end their lives in favour of the party.

According to him, some politicians are taking people for granted and it is high time Ghanaians put a stop to that.

Speaking at a forum dubbed ?Forum on hate speech and inciting genocide? organised by the Center for Governance and Justice on Tuesday, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. condemned the unprintable comments of Kennedy Agyapong.

He said, although it was left for the court to judge the comments of the Assin North MP,it was wrong in his opinion to kill since ?we inter marry ourselves regardless of our tribal and political differences.?

According to Mr Pratt, it is fair for people to condemn bad statements made by politicians in the country, adding that ?we elected them not because we love them, but because we want them to help improve our socio-economic standard of living?.

Present at the forum were the deputy Ministers of Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Baba Jamal, deputy Minister for Interior, Kobby Acheampong, deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Omane Boamah and a Presidential Aide, Stan Dogbe.
