Tema Youth-Hearts league opener rescheduled for October 10

The Premier League Board (PLB) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has rescheduled the 2012/2013 Glo Premier League opener involving Tema Youth and Hearts of Oak.

The Premier League Board (PLB) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has rescheduled the 2012/2013 Glo Premier League opener involving Tema Youth and Hearts of Oak.   

The opening encounter originally scheduled for Sunday, October 7 will now take place on Wednesday, October 10 at the Tema Park.

A statement signed by Kweku Ampim Darko, GFA Deputy General Secretary in charge of Technical said the postponement was requested by Tema Youth on the basis of having five of their players in the Black Satellites squad in Morocco for an African Youth Championship qualifier.

“The Premier League Board has in line with Article 13 (4) of the GFA’s Rules and Regulations, rescheduled the first week Glo Premier League match between Tema Youth and Accra Hearts of Oak at the Tema Park from Sunday October 7 to Wednesday October 10, 2012.

“Tema Youth requested the PLB to reschedule the match following the invitation of their players to the Black Satellites for their African Youth Championship 2ndLeague qualifier against Morocco,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, the other seven matches will come off this weekend as planned.
