Tema Youth CEO Winfred Osei has expressed his disappointment over the exclusion of Adam Larsen Kwarasey from Ghanaââ¬â¢s squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Osei argues that the Stromsgodset goalkeeper is the most active Ghanaian goalkeeper and should have earned a call-up to play Uganda and Togo next month.
It is suspected that Kwarasey has paid the fine for his tirade for his criticisms against goalkeepersââ¬â¢ trainer Nassam Yakubu after the World Cup.
There has been no explanation why the 26-year-old was left out of the 24-man squad.
Osei, who is a Ghana FA Executive Committee member, says there canââ¬â¢t be any justification for Kwaraseyââ¬â¢s snub.
ââ¬ÅI feel sad. I am disappointed. No one can convince me with any reasons why Kwarasey was dropped from the squad for the two qualifying games,â⬠Osei said.
ââ¬ÅRealistically speaking, Kwarasey has been the most active individual amongst all our goalkeepers so why drop himâ⬠he questioned the rational behind the dropping of Kwarasey.
ââ¬ÅIn terms of goalkeeping, we all know he is ahead of all the three goalkeepers because he is more consistent and active than all the three who have been invited.ââ¬
