England:

John Pantsil was left-out of the Fulham squad that made the successful trip Manchester City to hold them a one-all draw game.

Spain:

Derek Boateng was an unused substitute for Getafe in their 0-0 draw with Hercules at away.

Wakaso Mubarak made his Spanish La Liga debut when he came on as an 80th minute sub for José Manuel Catalá when Villarreal squeezed a point out of Racing Santander.

Italy:

Cesena gave the relegation battle a boast when they recorded a slim 1-0 win over Chievo Verona on home grounds.

Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah was not in the Cesena first team.

Udinese returned to winning waves after condemning Palermo to a 7-0 defeat in just an hour at their own-yard.

Ghana midfield talisman Kwadwo Asamoah was pivotal in that massive victory for Udinese but compatriot Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was absent from the trip to Sicily.

Ghana Under-20 midfielder Afriyie Acquah replaced Javier Pastore after 63 minutes.

Esmond Hansen Sackey scored all two goals for Correggese in their 2-1 win over Traversetolo in the Italian lower tier.

France:

Andre Ayew snatched a late goal as Marseille came from behind to beat Nancy and move to within a point of the Ligue 1 summit.

Ayew levelled the scoring from a rebound just after recess and snatched the winner with three minutes left.

Jordan Ayew came on as 45th minute substitute for Loïc Remy.

Holland:

Nana Kwasi Asare sat out of FC Utrecht's 1-1 draw with NEC due to injury.
