Former Tanzania league champions Simba sacked their Croatian coach Zdravko Logarusic, former King Faisal coach, on Sunday.

Geofrey 'Kaburu' Nyange, the club's Vice President, told a source in Dar es Salaam that they held a meeting and decided that they will part ways with Logarusic because they think he will not help the team win trophies.

The development comes after visiting Zambian side Zesco FC humiliated Simba SC 3-0 on Saturday in an international friendly match played to celebrate the Simba SC Day.

Interestingly, the Croatian only signed a new contract few weeks ago which spelled out, amongst other things, that the team needed to play better football and also win the 2014/2015 league title.

Simba SC will miss out on CAF continental football in 2015 after finishing in fourth place in the league last season.

But Logarusic, who won the league title with Kenya’s Gor Mahia FC in the 2012/2013 season, could find himself return to Kenya with his former Club.

This comes after current Gor Mahia coach Bobby Williamson was last week named new coach of Kenya’s national team.

The entire technical bench of Harambee Stars was sacked last Sunday after the team failed to beat Lesotho to qualify for the group stage of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
