Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah believes they put up a close to perfect performance to thrash Egypt 6-1 in the Brazil 2014 World Cup playoff first leg on Tuesday.

The Juventus ace played full-throttle and came close to scoring on 11 minutes but his powerful shot was blocked by the goalkeeper.

Ghana outclassed the Egyptians with their long ball and effective counter-attacking strategy.

Asamoah has put their superlative display to the tactical superiority of his teammates.

"Today we did very well, we were tactically very disciplined and you could see I was coming back a lot to help Opare [Daniel]," Asamoah said.

"That is what we learnt at training so it was not like we were playing an individual game.

"I think we should continue what we are doing because the game against Egypt is not easy."
