Swedish giants Helsingborg IF have completed the signing of Ghanaian David Accam from second-tier side Östersund, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 21-year-old had been linked with several Allsvenskan clubs including AIK Stockholm and Elfsborg.
But Helsingborg have stolen the match on their contenders to complete the capture of the former Right to Dream Academy graduate on Thursday.
Accam signed a long-term contract with Helsingborg which will commence in January 2013.
“We’ve known about competition so it is great that he chose HIF,” sporting director Jesper Jansson said.
“We had a very good dialogue with Östersund where we labour have given priority to what is best for the player’s development,”
“ It is a performance-based contracts, where success is a win-win situation for all parties.”
