Beleaguered Kotoko striker Yahaya Mohammed wants to re-sign for the club, according to reports in the Ghanaian media.

The 26-year-old has been frozen out of the team after he signed a deal with Libyan side Al Ittihad despite being contracted to the club.

Media reports in Ghana have suggested the former Amidaus Professionals creative midfielder is begging the management of the club to re-engage his services ahead of the new season.

Mohammed was the toast of Kotoko fans during his spell at the club but attitudinal issues made him unpopular among their teeming followers.

He was farmed out on loan to Amidaus Professionals and only brought back to the team after the exit of celebrated former Board chairman Dr Kofi Kodua Sarpong.

Reports suggest the club will re-sign him ahead of their involvement in the CAF Champions League next year.

The Porcupine Warriors will make a return to Africa’s elite inter-club competition after crashing out at the first hurdle against Liberian side Barrack Young Controllers the last time out.
