Laryea Kingston wants to quit Hearts of Oak

Controversial Midfielder Laryea Kingston has written to Hearts of Oak indicating he wants to quit the Ghanaian giants, MTNFootball.com can exclusively reveal.

The 32-year-old rejoined the former African champions last year in his bid to resurrect his career.

Kingston has however been unable to achieve this haven incurred two indefinite suspensions within the period he’s been with the club.

The ex Lokomotiv Moscow player who is currently serving an indefinite ban for assaulting a club official has now slapped in a letter requesting to be released from his contract.

The club’s board is expected to consider Kingston’s proposal which was sent last week following the side’s 1-1 draw with Medeama SC over the weekend.

The Ghana international is deemed a massive distraction to the team haven fallen out with ex coach CK Akunnor to incur his first indefinite suspension.

He was again slapped with another indefinite ban for assaulting the club’s accountant for serving him notice of a withheld salary.

    Laryea wants to leave Hearts? Lol! How long and what will it take for this guy to admit that he is over the hill? The board of Hearts should have a small party to celebrate his request, grant it whole-heartedly and move on. The team need to develop new talented players and not spend all their resources managing ‘drama queens’!
