Kevin-Prince Boateng hints he could return for Ghana

Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has given a slight hint of his quick return for the Black Stars by endorsing a tweet that called for him to play at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in January.

The Germany-based player’s international career with the Black Stars looked to have ended after he was booted out of the World Cup this month for verbally abusing coach Kwesi Appiah.

The Schalke player, who was not at his playing best at the World Cup, played a bit part role in the Black Stars early exit from the tournament in Brazil.

Several calls have been made for younger players to be injected into the squad with fears that after Boateng’s indefinite suspension he might not be interested in playing for Ghana in future.

However, the controversial player looks to have endorsed a tweet from a fan in Morocco who called him to play in the tournament in the north African country.

He retweeted the comment by the Moroccan fan showing that Boateng is keen on the comment by the fan.

Do you think Kevin should return for Ghana? Would he respect the coaches? Would he play with full commitment? Make your views known in the box below

He ll still play for us no matter what happens! The whole Brazilian fiasco was a vicious chain reactions that’s started from the top to down and noone person should be blamed for it!

    • Kofi USA says:

Hey people, let’s face it. Is this guy better than Jordan as a striker?,or is he better than Waris as a striker? Ohh, should I even mention Assifua the golden boot winner? Let’s stop the fuss over this guy. He ain’t shit as player but his problems cause Ghana to shit.

    • kobina says:

K.P. is great leader and a shining star, people hate brave souls like that and we desperately need him. The management is the problem, you cannot lead a nation thing by hating some as coach Appiah must go. Ghana leaders must analysis GFA leadership and let Appiah go. we want all our players back not division.

      • papa says:

i like ur conment my great frd akwasi’s shld go and lets our black stars keep calm, i bet u if akwasi appiah still handling blck star, the division of the players will continue so akwasi u r not good enough so pls live the blck stars and let try another coach becuse u r kills our old dads and mums

Congratulations to all Ghana men for your brilliant discussions above and below. I am selling it tonight for 10 cents for all cheaters, 15 cents singles and the aged( akokora boni) 96 cents plus free confy bed and a bonus of playing with my 98 pounds in front( extra goods).
Thanks so much to the 5 guys who just emailed, add your locations and I’ll service you on first come first served.
Now, who ever think KBP is coming to play for black stars under Akwasi Appiah is dreaming. Kwesi Nyantekyi, Ben Koufi, Afranie, Osam duodu etc. will never advise AA to call a strong character like KPB because anytime he shows up in camp they will feel intimidated. I repeat KPB intimidate Akwesi Appiah period. The insiders will tell you. The old boys mentioned above are pushing their own players into the players into the Bs. They in bed with Ghanaian players agents.
Think about these players; Jordan, Nkoom, Adoma, Rabiu,Opare and John boye a player who player only 77mins for his club for an entire season. What qualitties do these players actually bring to the Bs squad. Kindly go back and watch Ghana Egypt the back 4, Rashid, Afful, Akamiko, Gyima. They made some mistakes but the agility to withstand compare to tiring boye and opare………………………………………………………………sorry I have a customer at the door…………..see ya

  2. banger says:

PLS NO BOATENG. DOES HE REALLY THINK THE COACH WILL INVITE HIM
AFTER BEING SOO DISRESPECTFULL TO THE COACH.WE DNT EVEN NEED THIS GUY.HE IS A BIG FLOP.

  3. Pepper says:

Do you know what I think,I think Saanie Diarra is an asshole

  4. Ansong says:

THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THE UNQUALIFIED KUMASI COACH WHO DOES NOT HAVE UEFA COACHING LICENSE, 2, NO HEAD COACH EXPERIENCE, 3, NEVER PLAYED PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL ABROAD, 4, TACTICALLY BLIND. WE MUST GET RID OF HIM TO SAVE THE NATIONAL TEAM. wise up.

    • John Bone says:

@Ansong as you can see below is a reply i sent to a post by Mumbi (Zambian) who sounded very racial in his comments and goes as well to you as i am a Ghanaian will hate to see ethnocentric comments on here. Such comments will not help the situation but rather worsen it. Please keep it to football or within context… Good job @Rasheed for being the devil’s advocate. Its about time we wise up as a continent…

      The reply read as follows…
@Mumbi Reading from your comments i think you are not well informed about colonialism, racism and slavery. I guess you dont know slavery is still ongoing in africa as a whole first and you, me and every single african is affected directly or indirectly.. first and foremost i will advise you to go get yourself educated about it before you come back on this platform to comment about Ghanaians becoming Zambians slaves. I guess your own Minister of Justice Wynter Kabimba can enlighten you about the implications e.g here http://www.lusakatimes.com/2014/07/14/external-forces-responsible-africas-instability-wynter-kabimba/ …… I just felt this an opportunity to get something off my chest..its a pity some people like you still live in the dark ages. and this goes to the rest please try to avoid racial and tribal sentiments when you are commenting

  5. texas says:

KPB is not the problem oooooo. The problem is that corrupt and useless GFA, it’s technical team, and management team. Ghana football is done if these guys continue to run our football. KPB, Sulley and others should not come unless there are changes in the GFA and a new German, Spanish, Dutch or Italian manager that knows how to manage world class players like those in the BS, and knows how to build a formidable team that will conquer Africa and the world is brought in to manage the team.

  6. Rasheed says:

@Ansong,I like your comments, the only problem is with your tribal sentiments.please, just the “kumasi” and simply write coach Appiah.Thanks.

  7. #Bayzee says:

Of cos we need KPB. In fact we need d complet squad goin 4wd cos Gh Black Stars is undoutedly a formidable team. Look we nearly beat Germany nd dey r d eventual winners of d 2014 WC!!! WE R A GR8 FOOTBALL NATION!!! D GFA need to act wt professionalism nd in d interet of Ghanaians cos its a matter of National Pride hey,,,hey Mr GFA, WE NO CONFLICT OF INTERESTS; WE NEED TROPHIES N WE NEED EM NOWWWWWW!!!

  8. Rasheed says:

@banger,I think we need him,it is rather the wimpy coach we don’t need.Kevin just had a bad tournament, but he is still good, and can shine another day.Banger,I believe you are a good player, but there are some days you play so badly, that ,you think it is the Ghanaian witches who spiritually seized your feet.

  9. #Bayzee says:

We need #Peace n Unity in BS camp cos our boyz hav d potential to lift d Fifa WC trophy, trust me!!! Germany has a #TEAM nt a bunch of indvdual talents. Jst consider how Germany unselfishly passes d ball around in d 18yard area jst to score goals NO MATTER WHO SCORES. Dats ultimate unity man. In a nutshell, Mr GFA plz accord d BS players whts due em so dey can play out of der hearts n wt unity. Period…

  10. Kofi Nkansah. says:

Individual players should not be singled out for the failure of the Black Stars. A strict investigation should be made to know the root cause of the problems. The playing body, officials, technical team are all responsible for the failure. K . P coming back to the team? The coach will decide

  11. Nazo says:

Under the current coach, it is not possible and it is like the coach was just imposed on players like Micheal Essien, Surrey Muntari,Prince Boteng and Ayew brother to survive against Zambia. Otherwise these are not his players, he is not comfortable with them and he uses them due to public out cry.

  12. fabregas says:

in life any thing is possible

  13. Matthew Agudey says:

K.P Boateng don’t know the traditions and cultural certain of his country. He has German mentalities instead of Ghana.
When an elderly person talk to or insult you you don’t talk back or respond to the insult. When you do, is a sign of disrespect to the customs of elders; you need to report him back to elders to address the address issues.
K.P Boateng conduct at the camp shows he has no respect for the COACH for that matter Ghana which makes him disobedient child because he does listen.
You may critics a coach on a geniu reasons but is wrong to guestion a tactics of a coach. No servant is greater or knows better than his master. Some of them think they know better than the coach K. P. Boateng is one of them.
He should wait for now when the coach needs him he will call him.

  14. Boro says:

The Germans could not manage young KPB and we think we can do it? Indiscipline has always been the trade mark of KPB. He should commit himself to schalke and fight for his position before that teenager reduced him to bench warming and leave our BS for us. We do not need indiscipline players, players who spend most of their time at the club and having sex in the BS anymore. The BS is now for SELFLESS, SERIOUS AND COMMITTED PLAYERS. Mother Ghana has helped rescued your career because you are also a Ghanaian and that is enough. Although you paid us back with your ingratitude behaviour we are ok. You should just simply leave our BS for us!

  15. mutary gariba says:

Banger, man!,the guy is ghanaian, when 2015 comes and he is playing good, why not??,let’s just give these three players a break.

    • Anokwale says:

I agree that he is a Ghanaian. However, I think it is time to move on. As we know from Ivory Coast, it is not about big names. It is about a cohesive group that is willing to fight for the nation and each other. We have to move away from big names and focus on the best group to win at AFCON 2015. We do not need infighting of any kind. The way we played against Germany shows that we can really beat anyone. We just need to get the organization and team cohesion together.

  16. mutary gariba says:

Banger, man!,the guy is a ghanaian, when 2015 comes and he is playing good, why not??,let’s just give these three players a break. If the likes of AA are being given third chance, why not these guys!

  17. Kelvin is serious player b’cos of poor management dat we give it to him.

  18. i think KP Boateng is very good player nd he contribute alot when ever he plays 4 team, nd in thems of respect everybody is respectful nd samtime we young guys are samtimes arogant so i think we should 4 get past nd think way forward, go Ghana go KP BOATENG

  19. Dr Who says:

This belly-full player wants to come back after enjoying the tax payers money..Black stars need committed players not gluttons.

    • xoxKSxoxo says:

I think you talking about John Boye. Dont confuse KPB with him. There are people who do not like being criticized. All KPB did was tell the truth about what management did terribly wrong in Brazil. Essien, Muntari and others are fed up with the GFA. Opare, Wakaso etc wont say a word cos they were brought in by this coach and they feel they owe him the respect and will go along with anything. Asamoah Gyan wont say a word or rise up against the foolishness of GFA cos he was made captain by this coach. Ayew wont say a word cos of his future in the national team as captain after Gyan3. We need whistle blowers. Without them we cannot fix what is wrong with GFA. The BS wont win anything with this type of management. Lets be grateful to them who dont have anything to loose and will stand up for the team to fix what is broken rather than try to sweep everything under the carpet and call these patriots all kinds of names when their actions, unpopular as it may seem, is only good for the future of soccer in Ghana. We need men like Essien, KPB and Muntari. Without them corruption wont end in the GFA. How foolish can the GFA be to appoint Kwesi Appiah to be a coach of the BS. If you think these players dont know he is not up to the task then you must be kidding yourself. Its hard to play for a cluessless coach when you play in Europe and see smart coach draw good game plans to win games and you come to play for Ghana and you experience this coach not able to come up with good selections to win games, let alone a good game plan. It harder to support the BS in these times with KA as head coach. He is a good man, dont get me wrong, just a bad coach. lets fix our coaching staff and management of the BS and look to build a winning team. I never supported him when he was made coach not because he is black or from ghana. My friends criticized me a lot for not supporting him but he had no credentials to convince me and he has proven me right.

      • WONDERFUL KWAME says:

@xoxK… you said it all… is so sad how the mentality of most Ghanaians are… if all could think like you.. we will have a better Ghana. Why don’t you run for president?… I will vote for you.
Is almost 14 years since I left Ghana, and stuff like this makes me want to denounce my motherland… but home is home… we just need thinkers like you.
Until this management is gone, most of us will no more support the team. I don’t care even if they win all tournaments… too much corruption and always asking people to say “yes sar master”…. that’s what is killing us…
        So sad!

  20. aa says:

I do not know why pple keep blaming the players. Do not invite world class players if you cannot make world class arrangements. It is not the fault of players the family of officials fly business class while they are separated in two economy. It is not the players fault that the gfa are fixing matches they are risking their legs playing. It is also not their fault they are placed in rubbish hotels while offocials sleep in 5 star hotels.

  21. martinho says:

u tink man be animal…u don’t play in the qualifiers but u spoil our party at brazil…we made u to be what u r but u didn’t remmba us…u tink ghanaians are fools.no kelvin in blackstars camp

    • xoxKSxoxo says:

He did not force himself into the team. It was your coach who went to Italy when he was playing for AC Milan to beg him to come back into team. The coach should not have taken him to Brazil if he didnt like him not play in the qualifiers. So no he does not tink man be animal. If anyone thinks that, then its the coach. Our chances of winning the African cup goes way up if KPB, Muntari are brought in. Without them our chances drop a lot. In fact, without Muntari, we would have lost all three games in Brazil. Hate him, but its the truth. There is a youtube video of KA commending Muntari for how he played. He said it surprised him, and indeed he did.

  22. samedge says:

Shango is missing ooo. Oh my good friend is missng

  23. Hafiz Abdul Mutallib says:

pls let us forget this guy and move on. last time we kept on saying we need him and that makes hime feel so big to the extent of verbal insult and event wanting to beat the coach. clearly we need left full back so that kwadwo asamoah can go back to his postion.

  24. Dr Who says:

If after two yrs u cud nt find a left back but to convert our most creative offensive midfielder to left back then u dont hv any business staying on as a coach…Baba Rahman was invited several times but this coach refused to even try him in a match.

  25. He-goat says:

When human beings are talking goats are also talking. Bring back who? Even if it is Mourinho who’s coachinng BS we Ghanaians will resist his comeback.

  26. PITO says:

With A.A in charge I guess Kevin must be made aware that he is playing for an AFRICAN team and thus should NOT expect professional top Notch management and the likes. AS FAR HE IS MADE TO UNDERSTAND THIS IN CLEAR TERMS and he still opts to come back then he should be welcomed. If we don’t let him understand this then it will never work out with Kevin.

  27. PITO says:

I BET Andre Ayew has been made to UNDERSTAND this and that explains his silence, quietness and composure in the midst of the crisis. Meanwhile our AFRICAN management need to step up and stop being so stereotypical!

  28. Why you think we are joking in ghana we have many players who can play more than what they did let for get about them.

  29. John Bone says:

oooh no need for him ghanaians always hamper poeples, expecially if u are famouse

  31. pk says:

    Invite Essifuah and Clifford Aboagye.

  32. Nuhu says:

All GFA delegation that went to Brisil must go including GFA chairman and bring
People that can handle blackstars team.

  33. sharon says:

Why not they should allow him to play if he wants to.
Ghanaian leaders should learn to speak d truth. Too much corruption in d government. These Ghana government officials don’t they travel, they should learn from other developed countries and stop being stupid, selfish, thieves, wicked and idiots

  34. henry ameifo anyagre says:

sallas tetteh is doing very well by building young talents to feed the black stars ,so why don,t we gives him the opportunity to follow up and coach the black stars .he has proved to every Ghanian by winning under 20 wld cup and another 3rd place position .i personally believes yes he can, what is your view doc.

  35. Edmund says:

Ghana really appreciate his efforts to the national team but for now, I think Ghana should let jhim go in peac.

  36. Iddriss Yakubu says:

Oh yes, That is when the leaders have also change from their barbaric lifestyle.

  37. Basvik selorm says:

Look, kwesi appiah cannot lead the black stars to anywhere. At afcon 2013, he came back nd said I have learnt my lessons. After the world cup friendlies he came nd said again I have learnt my lessons and in the world cup itself u are still learning ur lessons?. He nd the whole Gfa board are totally “incompetent”. Let us be wise ghanaians.

  38. D. Enninful says:

Black Stars will be better off without PB. Mutiny in the camp caused the BS morale to tumble. All the ringleaders should be booted out.

  39. chris opoku says:

I don’t understand why everyone is talking about Boating’s .what about sully? If AA is still the couch of BS and call sully in feature with without Boating it won’t be fair cus both were suspend what ever the situation was and is not the first time happening to a player in BS. Even among them self in gfa they have got issue but they solve them.

  40. Evans Dankwah says:

Pls, let kpb go n aa stat.thank.

  41. Carlos says:

Kwasi cannot help the team Plz. His entire style is not working the players r not the problem. Better he resigned after the tournament

  42. Nanakwame says:

Off course, KPB should be allowed back into the team. First and foremost, KPB is not a striker, he is an attacking midfielder and works best as a playmaker for his team mates. He has a lot of experience and to say he did not play well in he world cup is up for debate, because he never played a full game. I bet his total time playing in the world cup was less than 90 minutes.

Second of all. Our Coach, because of inexperience had to go to Manchester City to spend two weeks with Pelligrini to on coaching. Do you think you can win the world cup with just 2 weeks of foreign coach experience? The coach went into the tournament knowing others were tactically better than him and was resting his dreams on the soul efforts of the quality players he had of which KPB was one of them.

Please let KPB and Muntari back into the squad, and lets win CAN 2015.(hopefully with a better coach)

  43. Alias muftah says:

We do Not like a coach who quickly respond to a player without luking @ the circumstances behind, his own respect from the players is more important to him than the(country’s) wining

  44. Dan Sam says:

SURE KELVIN PRINCE BOATENG IS NEEDED IN THE TEAM AGAIN. THE PROBLEM IS THE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE OF THE OF THE BLACK STAR TEAM. HE SHOULD BE CALLED BACK TO THE TEAM TOGETHER TO SULE AND ESSIEN.
