Nigeria official blasts Andre Ayew for tipping Liberia

Super Eagles co-ordinator Emmanuel Attah has reacted to a recent statement credited to Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew that Liberia will stop Nigeria from next year’s African Nations Cup.
Attah insists that the Eagles will qualify for the Nations Cup by beating Liberia because the Lone Star are no match for the Nigerians.
He wondered what business Ayew has with Nigeria’s qualification when Ghana are not even sure of scaling through despite a 2-0 first leg advantage over Malawi.
“Ayew should think of how Ghana will be able to overcome Malawi in Blantyre and leave the Eagles alone,” Attah said.
“It is their loss to Liberia that gave him the impression that Liberia will beat us in Nigeria.
“I pray Ghana qualify for the Nations Cup and we meet them there so that we silence them for once.
“We drew 2-2 with Liberia and we sure have what it takes to beat them in Calabar, so we are not losing sleep over the lone Star.
“The coaches have taken note of whatever flaws the Eagles had in Monrovia and will try to correct them before the return leg and win very well,” Attah stated.
He said the Eagles camp will open early next month with the home-based players before the foreign-based players join four days to the October 13 date.

Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) will charge twice the amount they have been charging for the Uganda vs Zambia match at Namboole.
The Cranes face Zambia’s Chipolopolo on October 13 needing to score two goals without reply to qualify for next year’s Nations Cup in South Africa.
Rogers Byamukama, the Fufa head of marketing and sponsorship, announced the new fares at a news conference in Kampala on Thursday.
Supporters paying for the ordinary ticket will part with Shs40, 000 each while those accessing VIP and gold will pay Shs75,000 and Shs120,000 respectively.
“The prices are fair if you are to go by what we have been charging in the past,” Byamukama argued.
“Let’s not look at the prices but also look at this as one way of giving back to the team because it needs your support,” he added.
Previously, fans have on average paid Shs20,000 for ordinary seats, Shs40, 000 for VIP and 60,000 for gold.
Fufa was not clear yet on how many tickets will be availed for traveling Zambian fans.
Zambia will not survive in Kampala. I can bet the Ghana’s gold reserves on that!
