Ghanaian midfielder Muniru ‘Sarki’ Muntari, has started trials with Spanish giants Real Madrid, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The junior brother of Sulley Muntari joined the Team B of the club on Tuesday for his first training session with the club, insiders have told Ghana’s leading football news website, GHANAsoccernet.com.

The 22-year-old, who plays for Liberty Professionals, was observed by Jose Mourinho on his first day of training at the Castilla on Tuesday.

Sarki will stay with the club for one week before his future with the club is decided.

Despite being a defensive midfielder he was not afraid to go forward for strong tackles with good technique when the ball is at his feet.

Sarki Muntari is expected to occupy the void left by Mandi, the midfielder who has been transfered to Sporting.

He will be signed in January if he is successful.

Sarki, who already has an excellent relationship with Real Madrid star Michael Essien, will become the third Ghanaian to play for the European giants if he signs.
