Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari says he will help compatriot Michael Essien quickly adapt to life in Italy after he joined AC Milan from English Premier League side Chelsea.

Muntari says he is delighted to unite with compatriot Essien at AC Milan, adding that Essien’s move will be crucial for the Rossoneri.

Essien completed his move from Chelsea to Milan last week and Muntari believes that his arrival will be a major boost to his side who are struggling in the Serie A this season.

“Essien and I have been friends for 12 years,” Muntari said.

“We have often shared a room together in the national team.

“He works a lot, speaks little and sleeps a lot as well!

“I’ll help him adapt to life here quickly, and I’m sure he’ll be making a crucial contribution soon.”

The two players are very close friends.
