Sulley Muntari saysà heà and his new AC Milan team-mate Michael Essien mustà concentrateà on their club duties before thinking about theà FIFAà World Cup finals.Ã
Essien, who was lacking game time at English side Chelsea, moved to the Serie A for regular playing to remain match fit for June's showdown in Brazil.
But Muntari says his international team-mate should make reviving Milan his topmost priority.
"Essien is happy and heââ¬â¢s a great player, we all know his talents. He has a lot of experience in Europe and has played for big clubs," Muntari said.
"Now heââ¬â¢sà here at another great club. Heââ¬â¢ll be thinking about how he can help this team. First comes Milan and then our national side Ghana.
"I donââ¬â¢t know why Essien wasnââ¬â¢t playing at Chelsea. Sometimes thatââ¬â¢s the way it goes, you canââ¬â¢t find space in one team and then you do well for another."
Essien is expected to complete his move toà San Siroà on Monday after completing the first part of his medical at the La Madonnina Clinic on Saturday.
Milan are 11th on the Serie A league table and will travel to Cagliari on Sunday.
