AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari has revealed he was left in a miserable state due to the departure of compatriot Kevin-Prince Boateng to Schalke 04.
Boateng surprised many when he joined the German outfit on a four-year deal on transfer day deadline.
He made the move just two days after scoring a brace in Milan’s 3-0 win over PSV Eindhoeven in the Champions League play-offs.
Muntari says he was left speechless when his compatriot told him about his move to the German side.
“When he called and told me that maybe he will move away I felt so sad, but such things happen I wish him to be happy,” Muntari told Millanelo
“I want him to do his best and all that he can but surely I will really miss him here.”
