Sulley Muntari banned for Serie A opener
Muntari will miss seria A opener for AC Milan

Sulley Muntari has been suspended for AC Milan's Serie A opener against newly-promoted Hellas Verona on Saturday.

The 28-year-old will be completing the two-match ban he copped at the back end of last season.

Muntari first the first in the final match of the 2012/2013 season against Siena.

He was handed the suspension and also fined 10,000 Euros after he sent off in last season's penultimate fixture against Roma.

The Rossoneri midfielder was given two yellow cards at San Siro -one for ‘protests against the referee’ and for roughing up the referee.

The Lega Calcio officials had no option but to wield the disciplinary axe.
