Striker Abdul Majeed Waris scored his first international goal for the Black Stars in their 4-0 win over Sudan in a 2014 World Cup qualifier at home.

The Spartak Moscow new recruit was phenomenal in his first start for the Black Stars as he dazzled the crowd with his speed and antics.

Majeed scored the third goal with a sizzling header from Solomon Asante’s cross in the 80th minute and provided an assist for Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu to complete the rout.

The comfortable win sees the Black Stars move within a point of Zambia who drew 1-1 at Lesotho earl on Sunday.

    good boy waris.

  2. POW@Keep Akwasi Appiah.com/gfa says:

Ghana has to contest the refree’s yellow card he showed Waris in the 2nd half for a suspected diving. The player was genuinely whacked by the Sudanese defender and if the referee didn’t give Waris the penalty he shouldn’t show him with a yellow. There was no diving in that incident.

@King, tell ur chipoliopolio that they should be ready for Blackstars is coming to thrush them 5-0 in june. Mouth mouth kwa you couldn’t score common Lesotho.ha! Wait & see

  7. SABATO says:

Winning a goal king in an european league, irrespective of the country is no fluke! Charles Amoah won the goal king award in Switzerland but we doubted him at first. When he was given the chance, he excelled for the black stars. Warris is a naturalo goal poacher, let’s give him the chance. To Akwasi Appiah, never use a 45 minutes friendly match to judge a strike. A word to the wise…………

  8. keith from germany says:

na thats wat im talking about.im very happy kwesi appiah didnt take warris out earlier.
the boy dont need a lot of chances to score.he has got the speed, the killer instict, the antics n eye for his colleagues becuz the fourth goal says it all.
kwesi appiah u see,if u call the right players n use them at their right positions we wont say anything.
anyway kudos to sudan they rolled the ball very well.warris n lesotho has made my day.

    well done.

  11. Nimo says:

June 7th Sudan vs Ghana, we really need even a tougher squad to beat Sudan so we shouldn’t make the mistake and think this squad is enough. We still need Dede. This the right time for KP Boateng to announce his return, else……….you know the rest.

  12. Union Leader says:

Kudos to the Boys! 3 games played,3 more to go. Of the 3 games remaining ,the one against Sudan in Obduman is going to be the toughest. If we can escaped with a draw or a win in that game then I have doubt we will win the group and move on to the next stage. Meanwhile AA must be made to go for refresher courses abroad to widen his scope of the game.

  13. Maxwell Johnson says:

Good show by AMW, scored and provided an assist for the 4th goal. The referee was a bit biased, we all saw the incident were Warris was genuinely brought down by the Sudanese defender and I thought it was a clear penalty but shockingly the referee whistled against him claiming it was a dive. That was a very bad call by the referee, the GFA have to appeal for that booking.

  14. PITO says:

Finally somebody in the GFA listened to PITO!
I kept saying NO SERIOUS TEAM PLAY ONE STRIKER!
Now see the result for yourselves oh
I Kept saying AFFUL should never play LEFTBACK in Gh jersey, A.A listened, look at the result oh
Now I will say ANOTHER THING,
WE lacked a Ball holder! in this game. we won because sudans defence is just alright. BRING ANDRE FOR THE NEXT GAME. if we meet a serious team who are TIGHT IN DEFENCE, WE WILL BE CRYING FOR A BALL HOLDER UPFRONT OTHERWISE WE WILL NEVER SCORE! well done for changing that acaque tactic when it was needed.

  15. Don Justy says:

Did i hear u mention Dede(noise) Ayew? Fire bun u!! Get this clear, he’s done wit the BS, ok. We dnt need him.

    • INDISPENSABLE says:

so are happy bcos we scored 4 goals? AAA didnt what he was doing… there was no winger in the game and how on earth can u play 3 defensive midfilder!!while we have mahatma and even accam on the bench….no no it is now truu that we need dede , jordan and kelvin… so u stupid or whatever u call yoursef (dont just say) you dont know anything about footbal…FUCK U

  16. Dr Who says:

Welldone to AA and all the players for making GH proud. They actually showed that we are hungry for the WC.

  17. Paul says:

@PITO, HEY PITO, U BETTER SHUT UP OVER THERE! BLOODY LIAR!!

    • PITO says:

morons like yourself do forget things easy. Throw them a candy and their brain takes a holiday. You remember before the Afcon how we trash tunisia and egypt? But when we met teams with superior defence awareness like BURKINA FASO, THE QUICK DIRECT FOOTBALL WE PLAYED TODAY WAS RENDERED IMPOTENT! I want to see the beterment of blackstars so every advice I give is concise! How Dare you?

  18. Samedge says:

@Don justy, u & who doesn’t need Dede & Jordan? Are u a technical member of GFA? 3y3 as3m na aba so keep mute for GFA to settle the case than to talk like that. Kaajeko!
