Kofi Nti Boakye (middle) tips Kotoko to win next year's Caf Champions League

By Patrick Akoto

Striker Kofi Nti Boakye believes Kotoko has depth in quality to win next year’s Caf Champions League.

The Ghanaian giants will make a return to Africa’s elite inter club competition for the first time in six years after they clinched the Premier League crown last term.

The club has since been in the market searching for quality players to augment their squad ahead of their defence of their title with a number of key players expected to leave the club for European adventure.

But the former Liberty Professionals and Heart of Lions attacker insists Kotoko do not lack depth in quality to win their third title on the continent.

“If you look at the caliber of players we have and start the season like how we did the last time, we will win the Champions League,” Boakye said

“Every player at the club wants to work hard so that we return to the continent with a big bang.

“My dream is to win the Africa best and possibly win the best player of the world.

“It is not proper for the stature of a club like to Kotoko to have been absent on the Champions League front all this years and that for me will prove the determining factor in our quest to make our fans proud.”
