Striker Gyan gets number 3 jersey at Sunderland

Posted On Tuesday, 9th August 2011

Gyan will get to use his number three jersey at Sunderland next season

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has taken the No. 3 jersey at Sunderland as the club confirms the squad numbers for the brand new English Premier League season.

Gyan, 25, was given the number 33 jersey when he arrived at the Wearside last season because the his favourite number 3 had already been taken.

But Sunderland has confirmed their squad numbers for the season and Gyan is the club’s new number 3.

The £13m striker believes the jersey number 3 gives him extra luck.

Asamoah Gyan is a donkey, he literally has zero strength on the ball. That number 3 shirt won’t help anybody. £13m outscored by a much older Odemwingie playing for an inferior side.
