Elche striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom believes he is in top form to return to the Ghana squad for next month’s Brazil 2014 World Cup playoff first leg.
The 20-year-old has been in top form for the Spanish La Liga and scored two goals in five matches.
Boakye played in the double-header against Sudan and Lesotho in June but missed this month’s final Group D clash against Zambia.
The on-loan Juventus player says he has regained his form and ready for the eliminators.
“I won’t be surprised to earn a call up to the Black Stars because I believe in this world if you are doing something and it is going well you deserve to be rewarded accordingly,” he told Joy sports.
“As far as I’m concerned I have been invited to the Black Stars before at the Nations Cup which unfortunately I couldn’t play because of injury so I think if I’m being called to come and help my country I will be glad.
“My duty is always to make sure I’m doing the right thing and working hard to achieve whatever I want in life so if the call up comes now I won’t be surprised because I have put in more effort.”
