Stevenage striker Patrick Agyemang extends loan deal at Portsmouth

Patrick Agyemang has extended his loan at Portsmouth for another month – and could end up staying until the end of the season.

The League One strugglers landed Stevenage striker Agyemang during the transfer window but he has struggled for goals on the south coast.

But the former QPR hitman scored his first for the cash-strapped club, who are eight points adrift of safety, when Portsmouth secured three precious points with a 2-1 win at Crewe on March 2.

Then he played 90 minutes as they beat Bury 2-0 to move off the bottom of the table at the weekend.

And now Pompey have agreed to keep the 32-year-old striker for another four weeks with a view to keeping him for the rest of the run-in.
