Ex-Juventus midfielder Stephen Appiah has hailed his Ghana compatriot Kwadwo Asamoah for helping the Italian club to win the Serie A title, challenging the makeshift left-back to excel with the Black Stars at the World Cup in Brazil next month.
Appiah hailed the Juventus players for the emphatic way they clinched the title and also praised coach Antonio Conte for moulding the squad into a title winning side.
Juventus won their third league title in a row at the weekend which has sparked the praise from the midfielder who won titles with the Old Lady.
ââ¬ÅThere is not much I can say other than compliments to Juve for their title victory," Appiah said.
"Winning the Scudetto is never easy so if they have been able to do it for the third successive time then I think we must all be proud of themâ⬠he said.
"I hope to see Kwadwo Asamoah replicate that great form in our team when we take on the World in Brazil."
Asamoah will join the Black Stars next week as he is expected to be named by coach Kwesi Appiah in his final squad for the World Cup.
