Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah agrees with claims that USA will be the countryââ¬â¢s toughest opponents at next yearââ¬â¢s World Cup.
Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has insisted Jurgen Klinsmanââ¬â¢s men will be the biggest threat to his teamââ¬â¢s chances of doing well at the global showpiece in Brazil.
The African giants have beaten the Americans twice in 2006 and 2010 and will be keen to avenge the two defeats suffered at the hands of the Black Stars.
Appiah, who captained the Ghanaians to the two previous world cups which included wins over the Americans feels they will be the toughest ahead of Germany and Portugal.
ââ¬ÅYeah he (Kwasi Appiah) is right. We (Ghana) beat them on two occasions and we are going to meet them again so maybe I think now they have done their home-work,â⬠he told CampioneSports
ââ¬ÅThey donââ¬â¢t want us to beat them for the third time so I mean though people are talking about Germany and Portugal but I think the difficult match will be against the USA.ââ¬
The ex-Juventus star is expected to be among the backroom members of Kwesi Appiahââ¬â¢s men for the global showpiece.
