Stephen Abugri set to return to King Faisal on Monday

King Faisal

Coach Stephen Abugri is set to return to King Faisal after serving a one-month suspension.

Abugri was asked to step aside, six matches into the season after he reportedly clashed with club owner Alhaji Karim Grunzah.

He is expected to return to duty on Monday to supervise the side’s ongoing campaign in the country’s top-flight league.

“Coach Abugri’s suspension has ended and so we expects him to start work on Monday. But we’ll have a management meeting today to discuss the issue,” PRO Akomeah Boateng said

“I don’t want to pre-empt what will happen and so we’ll leave it as that.”

It is however unclear if Abugri will return to his post after he lashed out at the club owner for the manner that he was treated.

The Kumasi-based side have struggled in his absence where they are yet to pick maximum points.

Ex-Ghana international Mallam Yahaya acted in his position during the time that he was away.
