Standard Liege enquire about striker Afum

Samuel Afum has received an offer from Belgian side Standard Liege

Belgian giants Standard Liege have expressed interest in signing Ghana striker Samuel Afum from Egyptian side FC Smouha.

The 23-year-old forward has been on the radar of Lierse SK with Egyptian giants Ahli having their US$ 1.1 million bid rejected by the Smouha who are demanding U$ 2 million.

The ten-time Pro League champions are set to lose striker Mohammed Tchite and coach Ron Jans has lined up the former Hearts striker as his replacement.

Liege officials checked on Afum’s availability from Smouha on Monday evening.

Smouha will reconsider their decision to holding on to the striker who has two years left on his contract.
