Belgian side Standard Liege have water down on the injury situation of Daniel Opare, insisting the Ghanaian could play against Lokeren on Friday.
Opare,23, picked up a knock during their League game over the weekend against Ostende and was replaced as early as the 36th minute.
There were fears the Ghanaian international could be sidelined for a number of weeks but the club has revealed his injury is not as serious as previously feared.
Opare’s injury is nothing serious but a small sprained knee and he needs a little rest. He can even feature on Friday against Lokeren.†a club statement is quoted as saying.
