Sports Ministry pay bonus arrears owed Ghana national teams ahead of Christmas festivities
Joy for Ghanaian teams over outstanding bonus payments

Ghana’s Sports Ministry have paid all outstanding bonuses owed the various national teams ahead of the Christmas Festivities.

The payment made affected the Ghana U20 team, the Black Satellites, the Black Queens, the Black Starlet, the local Black Stars, the Black Maidens and the Black Princesses.

Most of the players of these teams have had cause to complain about their outstanding bonuses which has remained in arrears for months.

They can however rest easy and most especially enjoy their Christmas festivities with the payments of the outstanding bonuses.

The local Black Stars were for instance owed bonuses from their impressive showing at the 2014 CHAN tournament staged in South Africa back in January.

The Black Queens and Black Satellites were also owed bonuses from their successful qualification to the various African tournaments as well as the Black Maidens.

While the Black Princesses were also owed bonuses for qualifying the nation to the World Cup.

A statement from the Ministry of Sports confirmed the payment to the various teams and its officials.

“The Ministry of Youth and Sports wishes to inform the general public that it has since Friday, 19th December, 2014, paid all outstanding winning bonuses owed the players, technical and management teams of the various National Football Teams,” the statement signed by Public Relations Officer of the Ministry read.

“The teams under consideration are the Black Queens, the Black Princesses, the Black Maidens, the Local Black Stars, the Black Satellites and the Black Starlets.”
