Special bonuses for Malawi players to beat Ghana

Posted On Friday, 12th October 2012

Malawi players have been promised juicy bonuses to eliminate Ghana and qualify to the 2013 Nations Cup finals.

The Flames host the Black Stars at the Civo Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday with a 2-0 defeat from the first leg.

Kinnah Phiri’s side are confident of denying Ghana a 19th appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations.

“We will try to give you something good not like what you have been receiving previously,” Minister of Youth and Sports Enock Chihana said.

“Although we appreciate how strained our budget is but we will still seek ways to go around it and am already in talks with some players in the private sector to see if they can come in to help as well.”

@Malawian,I watched the first leg and I can confidently tell you the Black Stars can never be eliminated by the Flames.Your players lack the experience and the exposure to do that.On paper,Malawi is stronger than they appear on the pitch. In your quest to score goals, you will expose yourselves for our intelligent & experience attackers to punish you.Malawi should forget it.

its so unfortunate malawi has run into Ghana. destiny has not been fair to you. Maybe you guys should have met the likes of Gabon,Benin,Rwanda,Burundi,Tanzania,Kenya,Chad,Niger,Equitorial Guinea and the likes. With Ghana im sorry but thats the end of the road for you.

Sometime back Burkinabe officials unofficially complaned that they always meet Ghana in qualifiers both at senior and junior levels – a situation that is hampering the development of football in their country.
Malawi should pray that next time they will not meet Ghana, that way their football will grow
