Spanish professional group to hold training clinics in Ghana

A professional group from Spain; Zinac International are to construct several multipurpose training facilities while holding training clinics in Ghana.

The team held a meeting with Sports Minister Elvis Afriyie Ankrah on Wednesday to present the purpose of their visit to Ghana.

The team has football as one of its main programs to be undertaken in the country.

The team looks impart the superior methodology and enhanced facilities used by several Spanish club and national sides resulting in their success in various international tournaments on Ghanaians.

"Spain for the past four years have won the European championships twice and have been World champion in South Africa," leader of the Spanish delegation Fernando Gomes in the meeting with the Sports Minister.

“It therefore shows that Spain’s way of training and preparation is good and we want to teach it to Ghanaians.”

Spain have dominated world football at both club and international level in recent years.

Their national team have won back-to-back European championbships and a World Cup.

Sports Minister Afriyie Ankrah thus hopes the the team can replicate the use of its superior plans for success for the benefit of Ghanaians.

“I am thrilled to receive such a delegation who intend to help us realize our fullest potential as world beaters,” he said.

“What we know here in Ghana is that there are a lot of talents and we need facilities and programs such as these ones to help unearth and nurture these talents.”
