Spanish second-tier side Las Palmas have made an offer to sign Ghana midfielder Amidu Salifu from Fiorentina.

Las Palmas are yet to receive a word on their proposal from the Serie A side who won his economic and registration rights.

The Segunda Division must fight competition from Italian Serie B side Varese who are interested.

The 20-year-old has been told he does not fit into the plans of La Viola head coach Vicenzo Montella and must look elsewhere for more playing time.

Salifu had a season-long loan spell last term at Catania where he made ten appearances in the Serie A.
