GHANASoccernet.com understands that Asante Kotoko ace Yahaya Mohammed has become a primary target for many South African Premier Soccer League sides.

Mohammed, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, has seen his stock rise after the man of the match display against Libya in Ghana’s African Nations Championship Group C clash on Friday.

He scored in the 1-1 draw and was adjudged the best player in that game by the CAF technical study group member.

With Kotoko set to play in CAF Champions League qualifiers next month, it is unknown if the defending Ghana Premier League champions will release him.

Mohammed is suspended for Ghana’s final Group C match against Ethiopia on Tuesday.
