Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila wants the Black Stars to make the second-leg of their clash with Egypt a mere formality by winning Tuesday’s first-leg convincingly.
The Orlando Pirates defender is likely to claim a starting berth in a defensive department affected by injuries and has already targeted a smooth win over the North Africans.
“We have to record a convincing win in Kumasi in order to make the return leg a mere formality,” the former Ebusua Dwarfs center-back said in an interview.
The Black Stars must record a convincing victory over the visitors to stand any chance of reaching the finals in Brazil as the second-leg is expected to be a tough game for the Black Stars.
Sumaila also expressed confidence he is ready to fit into a depleted defence.
“I am really prepared and poised up for this game, my confidence level is very high,” he added.
