The South African media have been critical about Fatau Dauda’s performance in Ghana’s 1-1 draw with Uganda in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The Chippa United goalkeeper was nervous and received low ratings in the match at the Baba Yara Stadium.

A publication by the sowetanlive compared his performance with his opposite number Denis Onyango who was excellent.

“Denis Onyango, who has seen little playing time in the PSL as back-up at Mamelodi Sundowns and Wits over the last seasons, proved he is still up to a high standard with several good stops as Uganda won an unexpected point away from home against Ghana.

“His opposite number, Fatau Dauda of Chippa United, put up a scratchy showing in the 1-1 draw in Kumasi.”
