South Africa-based trio of Fatau Dauda, Rashid Sumaila and Awal Mohammed will be named in Ghana’s squad to face Uganda and Togo in next month’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is expected to announce his squad size for the two matches on Wednesday but three players will not be overlooked.

Goalkeeper Dauda is yet to kick a ball for his new side Chippa United because of work permit issues likewise Sumaila who plays for champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mohammed has been active for Maritzburg United and scored a goal in two appearances this season.

They will be supported by key players Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah, Christian Atsu, Andre Ayew and Harrison Afful.

The Black Stars, who are four-time champions, begin their qualification quest in Kumasi on September 5, before flying to Lome to take on Togo five days later.

Black Stars has become so cheap now.Gone were the days when you heard crack names donning the team shirt. These days our black stars has become a promotional side busy promoting inferior league players.I will not pay 1 kobo or even waste a sec of my time to watch any low class league players called by a clueless coach.I prefer to sit at the beach and read a book.

  7. Philip Osei says:

Kwesi Appiah should include some of the U20 boys with the likes of Frank ‘Messi’ Acheampong,Joseph lawerh Attah and Clifford Aboagye to the senior team..

The coach has called up these players to worked with and i don’t understand what the fuss is all about!!

We have seen the likes of john boye and Jonathan mensah for the BS and they are very average to see the least! These guys are not better than sumaila or awal! They are very useless defenders!

We cannot build the future with john boye who was among the worst defenders at the wc! There is nothing special about boye and I never saw anything good about him anyway!

He is tall but very useless in air and he sucks on the turf too! All our goals in the WC were conceded thru this useless defender!

Clint Dempsey scored his goal thru boye!
John Brooke scored his cracking header goal thru him!
Mario goetze, a very short player scored his goal against Ghana switched between TALL BOYE and afful!

This boye again, scored Ghana’s first ever OWN GOAL at the WC by a football mechanism that can only be explained by him!

John boye is a very useless defender that doesn’t bring anything new to the plate!

Jonathan mensah, LACKS COMPSURE! Every tackle from him comes with some complain! Bad positioning all over and he lacks STAMINA! He is most at times burn/gassed out during the dying mins of our games which lead him to make silly mistakes!!

The future is awal, sumaila, aka and vorsah as we cannot win anything with BOYE AND MENSAH!

These two useless AZONTO DANCING DEFENDERS cannot help us win anything because they are not SERIOUS!

If two professional players, who plies their trade in some of the top European leagues, can RUN FROM THE BACKLINE to joined in AZONTO CELEBRATIONS whiles there are serious defensive works to be done at the back, then it means these defenders are naive, useless and not serious about their defensive works!

Germany equalised after BOYE AND MENSAH has finished with their energy sapping AZONTO celebration and SEEDORF WAS MAD!

Redd or Wat ever ur name is, I take offence when u refer to 1 of the top twenty best leagues in the world market wise and financial muscle as ” inferior league players”. the PSL is way superior to what ever league u comparing it to in Africa and. some European leagues. facilities are emaculate.

  13. theobank says:

    Selfmade.

I support your analysis and u spot on! John boye, the money conscious defender is useless! He been quiet ever since his poor showing in the WC!

    U 100% right mate!!

  14. Toni says:
