Seven-member panel to oversee National Player awards announced

A seven-member panel has been named to oversee the maiden National Players Awards by the Board of Trustees.

The panel to be headed by former Ghana FA boss Ben Koufie is charged with identifying and shortlisting potential winners of the prestigious awards for the various categories.

The panel have the likes of former Black Stars players Willie Klutse, Odartey Lamptey with ex Black Queens captain Adjoa Bayor also part.

The others are Karim Zito, Rosalind Amo and ace journalist Kwabena Yeboah.

The awards being organized by Proton Sports Services under the auspices of the Ghana FA and the Retired Players Association of Ghana (RENFAG) is aimed at honouring individuals who have played for Ghana at various levels.

An official launch of the novelty is expected in April to outdoor the various categories to be contested ahead of the awards proper in June.
