Serbian side Donji Srem have unveiled their new signing Moro Abubakar, hours after the ex-Hearts star arrived in the European country on Thursday.

The box-to-box midfielder has signed a three-year deal with the club to end his long-stay with the Ghanaian side.

Abubakar decided against re-signing for Hearts after he secured his floating status.

The hard working midfielder admits the decision to part ways with the former African champions was not easy but necessary for career development.

“"It was not easy. My contract had expired and it was logical I had to change environment,” he told the club’s official website

“For career advancements, a move to Europe was very crucial. They did everything to keep me, but there was no chance.

This is my profession and I have to worry about my future and career. I'm sad because of separation, but it was bound to be.”

He will wear the N0.50 jersey at the club.
