Stephen Appiah could re-join Serbian giants Vojvodina on a long-term basis
By Patrick Akoto
Vojvodina are keen to re-engage ex-Ghana star Stephen Appiah on a permanent basis.
The 31-year-old enjoyed a terrific four months spell with the Serbian giants where he helped them clinch Europa League play-offs last season.
The former Juventus and Fenerbache enforcer is a free agent and looking for new employers.
But officials of Vojvodina have not hidden their desire of re-signing the affable ex-Black Stars skipper on a long-term deal.
“I know Appiah is still on our cards, it has been difficult getting him to play for us again because of his huge status,” Vojvodina manager Zlatomir Zargocic said
“I hope a deal will be struck soon because he is an important player who can greatly help our quest for trophies.”

Appiah should come and play in the MLS. Preferably the LA Galaxy or San Jose Earthquakes.
