The second edition of the Ghana National Player Awards will be outdoored on April 20, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The prestigious award which is being organized by renowned sports management company, Proton Sports Services and the Retired National Footballers Association of Ghana will be launched at a yet to be determined venue.

In fulfillment of their pledge to honour present and past footballers of the various national teams, the second edition is expected to draw record numbers with categories expected to be keenly contested for.

Patrons will be treated to an amazing entertainment package at the state facility in the capital, Accra.

Striker Asamoah Gyan scooped two awards during the maiden edition held in June last year after winning the MVP in the Black Stars category.

The annual National Player Awards is meant to honour gallant men and women who have dedicated their lives to serve the nation with the hope that it would leave a lasting memory on former players as well as serve as real boost to upcoming talents to offer selfless services.
