Ghana U17 coach Paa Kwesi Appiah believes his side were better than the 2-1 win over Cameroon in their 2015 Africa Junior Championship final qualifying round first leg tie.

The Black Starlets took a 2-0 half lead from Ernest Agyiri and Abass Issah at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde before captain Martin Hongla reduced the deficit.

All three goals were scored in the first half and ahead of the return leg, Fabin says his players are aiming to do more.

"We could have won by a wider margin. But an away win is very important," Fabin told the Ghana FA’s official website.

"We have to prepare and not sit on our laurels. We need to finish off the game in Accra."

The winner of the two-legged assignment will join hosts Niger and six others from the qualifiers for next year’s tournament.
