German Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 have employed a ââ¬Ëknee-healerââ¬â¢ specialist to get midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng fully fit for the second half of the season.
Bernd Fischer has joined the Royal Bluesââ¬â¢ mid-season training camp in Doha, Qatar ostensibly to work on the Ghana internationalââ¬â¢s troublesome left knee.
The physiotherapist will work with the 26-year-old still Wednesday working on the 10-million euro player in addition to the normal training day two units.
When he joined Ghanaââ¬â¢s squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup second leg qualifier against Egypt in November last year, Boateng had to visit the treatment room after joining Ghanaââ¬â¢s squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals playoff return leg.
Schalke General Manager Horst Heldt said: "The continuous monitoring is important so that the knee is stabilized. We have therefore taken together with Kevin and practice, Frank / Fischer's visit.
"On the first day of training in Doha, Boateng was not working properly. On the second day, we saw the old Prince."
