Schalke coach Jens Keller has lauded the performance of Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng after an impressive outing against Chelsea in the Champions League on Wednesday.

A second half strike from striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar cancelled out a Cesc Fabregas goal which had given Chelsea the lead in the first half.

A combination of resolute defending and luck at certain point in time ensured Keller’s side became the first team to take a point from Stamford Bridge this season.

Keller was full of praise for Boateng who has come in for huge criticism in recent times.

“The team did a good job and Boateng was incredible tonight’’ Keller told the media after the game.

“I am proud of all my boys and I think if we can play like this both home and abroad then we put ourselves in the position to take silver ware.”
