Schalke coach Jens Keller has asked for an improvement from Ghana midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng after his poor display in their 2-1 defeat to Hannover on Saturday.

The Royal Blues were shocked to their shells after Hannover clawed back to snatch the win.

Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar gave Schalke the lead early in the second half but Leonardo Bittencourt leveled minutes later after some clumsy defending on the 64th minute, before Luis Joselu scored the winning goal.

Keller was particularly critical of the performance of Boateng.

“We all have to improve. This is unacceptable, for me Boateng could have done a professional foul before the second goal and I think we will have to take a second look at things,” Keller said.
