German Bundesliga side Schalke 04 are the latest to join the race for in-form Ghana striker Jordan Ayew.

The 22-year-old had a successful six-month loan spell at relegated Ligue 1 side Sochaux where he scored five goals in 16 appearances.

His parent club Olympique Marseille have valued the youngster at three million euros but President Vincent Labrune could cash if the son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele dazzles at the 2014 World Cup finals.

Jordan’s contract with Marseille runs until June 2015 but expected to leave the Stade Velodrome this summer transfer window.

Schalke will be a good destination for the youngster after the Royal Blues qualified for next season's UEFA Champions League.

He hogged the headline when he netted a hat-trick in Ghana’s 4-0 win over World Cup bound South Korea in final warm up match.

Jordan’s elder brother Andre has been tipped to also leave the club and linked with Italian or English clubs.
