German Bundesliga giants Schalke 04 have confirmed Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng's injury is not serious and he will return to the team's preparation before the resumption of the Bundesliga.
The 26-year-old suffered a calf injury while training withe Royal Blues before their weekend Bundesliga clash missed the trip to Nurnburg.
There were concerns he might have aggravated his persistent knee problem but Schalke have confirmed he will return for their season-break tour in Doha along with Draxler and Höwedes.
Boateng's spell at Schalke has been marked by consistent injuries leaving him with just 12 appearances for the club since joining from AC Milan.
