Ghanaian midfielder Frank Sarfo-Gyamfi
Frank Sarfo-Gyamfi converted his spot kick to help Maritzburg United progress in the South African League Cup.
This was after United had been held 0-0 at the end of regulation and extra time by Maroka Swallows at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday.
The Ghana U-20 midfielder converted Maritzburg’s fourth kick upon which the winning penalty was scored to secure 4-3 win over Swallows.
Fellow Ghanaian Awal Mohammed was also a pillar in defence for ‘The Team of Choice’.
Sarfo-Gyamfi and Mohammed have notched down starting places in coach Ernst Middendorp’s side since joining from All Stars and Asante Kotoko respectively.
Good to see these two players doing well in SA.Keep the fire burning.
