The supporterââ¬â¢s wing of South African club Santosà have declaredà their support for the Black Stars in Saturdayââ¬â¢s CHAN final against Libya.
The home-based Black Stars team qualified for the grand finale of the competition with a hard fought penalty shootout win over rivals Nigeria on Wednesday.
Coach Maxwell Konaduââ¬â¢s teamà have movedà from their team base in Bloemfontein â⬓ where they have enjoyed tremendous support from the locals â⬓ to Cape Town where the finals will be played.
The Black Stars have however been assured of a new form of support from Santos FC who have Ghana defender John Paintsil amongst their ranks of players.
Supporterââ¬â¢s chief of the club Yusif Mbamah issued a statement to the effect of their support for the Black Stars in the CHAN finals against Libya.
ââ¬ÅWe the supporters of Santos FC have declared our support for Ghana in the CHAN finals against Libya,â⬠Mbamah said.
ââ¬ÅWe are going to support John Paintsilââ¬â¢s Ghana to win this cup.ââ¬
Ghana will be facing Libya for the second time in the competition.
Both teams played out a 1-1 draw when they first clashed at the group stage earlier on in the tournament.
