Samuel Inkoom enjoyed 90 minutes action for SC Bastia on Sunday as the French Ligue 1 curtains were drawn before heading for international duty.
His inclusion in Ghana’s 25-man squad for the double 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho has been a major talking point because of his inactivity.
Inkoom was making his fourth appearance for the club he signed for on-loan from Ukrainian side FC Dnipro in January.
The 23-year-old fell out Dnipro boss Juande Ramos and was frozen at the club.
This denied him the chance of playing in his third Africa Cup of Nations finals.
Bastia drew 0-0 with Sochaux at home to end the season in 12th place.
